Benefits of electric heating.
For a long time, gas has been considered the most affordable way to heat your home. It is one of the most common forms of heating in Spain.
A gas heating system consists of a boiler that heats the water and is pumped through pipes to the radiators throughout your home.
Over time, it has been increasingly settling in our society, because of this they have remained the same with little evolution in operation and infrastructure. While electric heating has evolved to become a real and energy efficient alternative to the old conventional gas heaters.
Electrical systems have all the advantages of gas heating, but do not have any of their disadvantages. Because of this, the installation of gas heaters for the heating of our homes is decreasing.
Some of the advantages of electric heating versus gas heating:
- Energy efficiency: Houses with good efficiency, consume less energy to do the same job as in a non-efficient home.
- Price: Gas heating installation costs are much higher than electric and do not last as long on average.
- Technology: electric heating technology is increasing its capacity and reducing its price.
- Ecology: consumers more aware of the need for clean and efficient heating systems that are sustainable.
What are the benefits of electric heating?
The benefits of electric heating are of great interest to customers who have not yet decided on a heating system, such as the versatility that electric heating gives you, since it is possible to use these products for air heating as of water.
The latest developments in electric heating include effective and rapid components, new, more efficient and innovative thermal elements and an amazing cutting-edge programming.
Installation
Compared to gas heating systems, electrical systems are cheaper and easier to install, since it does not require gas pipes, vents or ducts. Not needing any type of work for installation, electrical systems do not pose a problem for installation in both new and old buildings. Nor does it present compatibility problems, since it only requires a simple connection to the house’s electrical circuit.
When proceeding to an installation of a gas system, you should know that it will take several weeks, since you need to connect pipes, chimneys, radiators, respirators and a professional gas boiler.
Safety and ambient noise
Electric boilers or heaters are generally safer since they do not need to burn fuel to heat. This means that we can avoid risks from gas leaks or explosions. There are also no pipes full of water, so we avoid the risk of breakage and flooding.
Gas systems generally make more noise when they are working, because hot water runs through the pipeline circuit. It is also because we use water, that our pipes can become clogged with lime and we have to call a plumber to remove the obstruction or change the pipe. With electrical systems, no noise is emitted or lime builds up.
Ecological
The new regulations stipulate that all heaters that consume energy with a nominal heat output of at least 250 W must meet a minimum efficiency value to reduce the environmental impact. Although gas is the cleanest fossil fuel, it is still the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in much of Europe.
Gas systems produce harmful carbon emissions and with the increase in climate targets, the gas could become obsolete in the coming years. Electric heating is clean and environmentally friendly. No polluting gases or heavy metals.
